Veil

Each of these veil DVDs has something to offer. I don’t think I can pick just one (or even two), the least useful are probably Belly Dance for Body Shaping Upper Body and Goddess Workout – Veils.

Belly Dance for Body Shaping: Upper Body -- three 15 minute workouts, includes veil and cane technique instructions. Purchase at Amazon

Belly Dance with Veil – (Sarah Skinner) one of the World Dance New York DVDs, this DVD includes basic veil wraps as well as veil moves as performed with a single rectangular veil. Purchase at Amazon

Double and Single Veil Technique with Joynan – (Joynan) explanation of the various properties of the different shapes and materials for veils as well as single veil technique, one handed veil technique and double veil technique. Purchase at Amazon

Fabulous Four Yard Veils with Shoshanna – (Shoshanna) Covers a range of veil work, most of which will work with either 3 or 4 yard veils though some work better with the 4 yard variety.

Goddess Workout – Veils  - (Dolphina) introduction to single veil belly dance techniques. Purchase at Amazon

Seven Veils Romantic Bellydance – Sarah Skinner teaches a veil choreography which uses seven “veils” though only three of them are full size, the other four are more like handkerchiefs.

Smooth as Silk – (Katia) working with a large (4yard) silk veil, includes poses and twisted veil moves. Purchase at IAMED

Unveiled: Double Veil Instructional – (Petite Jamilla) – the vast majority of the veil moves covered are not unique to double veil. Only one or two are true “double veil” moves. However, there is some interesting single/double veil moves included.

Veil Obedience School – Princess Farhana covers the wide variety of veils out there (shapes, sizes and materials) as well as basic veil maneuvers.

Veil and Arm Dancing – (Amaya) – covers some unusual veil moves and wraps in addition to the “normal” ones.

Veil with Aziza – (Aziza) Covers many of the veil moves used when dancing with a single rectangular veil. Purchase at IAMED
